I was definitely nervous about the dog, although thankfully it never turned into anything worse than growling. I really hate encountering dogs that are unleashed when I’m hiking or biking. I know that the dogs love being able to run free, but it really makes me nervous.

I don’t mind nearly as much with the dogs that are actually well trained and respond to their owners commands, but those seem to be few and far between.

Also I would have been so freaked out and angry about the dog. Obviously, recent experience makes me more sensitive, but still — dog owners like that are jerks. Beautiful pics, though, and I’m glad you had a chance to get away!
